Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ClaviTTY, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use ClaviTTY.

License

Subject to these Terms and any applicable App Store rules, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ClaviTTY for your own lawful purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control.

Core Product and Premium Subscription

ClaviTTY offers a free tier and an optional auto-renewable subscription called ClaviTTY Premium.

The free tier includes the core SSH workflow, including saved server profiles, SSH key management, host key verification, and one live terminal session.

ClaviTTY Premium unlocks advanced workflows, which may include:

  • multiple live terminal tabs
  • session restore
  • jump hosts
  • local port forwarding
  • command snippets and favorites

Subscription Terms

If you purchase ClaviTTY Premium:

  • payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • the subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple account settings
  • prices may vary by country, currency, tax treatment, and App Store pricing tier
  • purchase restoration is available through the Restore Purchases action in the app

Apple handles billing, refunds when available, and subscription account management according to Apple’s terms and policies.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • using ClaviTTY only for lawful and authorized access
  • protecting your devices, Apple account, SSH credentials, and remote systems
  • verifying that you have permission to connect to any host you access
  • reviewing host key warnings carefully before accepting trust changes
  • maintaining your own backups or copies of any data you need

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use ClaviTTY to:

  • gain unauthorized access to any system or network
  • interfere with, disrupt, or damage systems, services, or data
  • violate applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • reverse engineer or misuse the app except where applicable law specifically permits it

Availability and Changes

ClaviTTY may change over time. Features, subscription offerings, and compatibility may be added, changed, limited, or removed at any time. We may also update these Terms by posting an updated version at the canonical URL above and revising the effective date.

Third-Party Services

ClaviTTY depends on Apple platform services and the remote servers you choose to access. Those services are outside our control and may be subject to separate terms, policies, and availability constraints.

Your use of ClaviTTY is also subject to the ClaviTTY Privacy Policy:

Disclaimers

ClaviTTY is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every SSH environment, or that the app will be free from every defect or security risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of ClaviTTY.

Termination

These Terms apply until they are terminated by you or by us. You may stop using ClaviTTY at any time by removing the app and canceling any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate access to app features where reasonably necessary to protect the app, comply with law, or address misuse.
