This Privacy Statement explains how Weight Tracker handles information in the iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, Android app, and related widgets.

Summary

  • Weight Tracker does not require an account.
  • Weight Tracker stores measurement data on your device and, if you grant permission, can also read from and write to Apple Health through HealthKit or Android Health Connect where supported.
  • Apple Watch entries and settings may be shared with your paired iPhone using Apple's app group storage and WatchConnectivity frameworks.
  • Daily reminders are optional and use local notifications on your device.
  • In-app purchases are handled through Apple's App Store / StoreKit on Apple platforms and Google Play Billing on Android.
  • Weight, BMI, and body fat tracking are available without a purchase. Premium purchases unlock advanced charts, BMI reports, CSV export, and widgets.
  • CSV export and sharing happen only when you choose to export your data.

Information Weight Tracker Handles

Health and measurement data

Weight Tracker may handle the following health-related information:

  • weight
  • body mass index (BMI)
  • body fat percentage
  • height
  • entry dates and times

If you allow HealthKit or Health Connect access, the app can read and write the supported data types so it can display your entries, calculate BMI, and show charts and reports.

If HealthKit or Health Connect is unavailable, or you do not grant access, Weight Tracker can still keep your entries in local app storage on your device.

App settings and device-local data

Weight Tracker stores app preferences locally on your device, such as:

  • unit settings
  • reminder preferences and reminder time
  • chart range and display preferences
  • color/theme choices
  • onboarding state
  • premium-unlock status used to keep iPhone and Apple Watch behavior in sync

On Apple Watch, the app may also store the latest weight snapshot and unit settings in shared app-group storage so the watch app and widgets can show recent information.

Purchase information

If you buy or restore Weight Tracker Plus, purchase status is retrieved through Apple's StoreKit and App Store services. Weight Tracker does not process or store your payment card details.

On Android, buy and restore actions are handled through Google Play Billing. Weight Tracker does not process or store your payment card details there either.

How Information Is Used

Weight Tracker uses information to:

  • save and display your measurements
  • sync measurement-related state between iPhone and Apple Watch
  • show charts, reports, widgets, and last-entry summaries
  • schedule optional weight reminders
  • enable or restore premium features such as advanced charts, BMI reports, CSV export, and widgets
  • generate a CSV file when you request export

How Information Is Shared

Weight Tracker does not include a custom account system or developer-operated cloud backend in the current app codebase.

Information may be shared in the following limited ways:

  • with Apple Health / HealthKit, if you authorize HealthKit access
  • with Android Health Connect, if you authorize Health Connect access
  • between your Apple Watch and paired iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework
  • with destinations you select through the iOS share sheet when you export a CSV file or share content
  • with Apple's App Store services or Google Play services when you make or restore an in-app purchase

Weight Tracker does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the current app codebase.

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, Weight Tracker schedules local notifications on your device. These reminders are processed by Apple's notification system and can be turned off at any time in the app or in system settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local app records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or remove the app.
  • If you delete an entry in the app, Weight Tracker removes the local record and attempts to remove the mirrored HealthKit or Health Connect entry when applicable.
  • HealthKit data stored in Apple Health and Health Connect data stored by your device remain subject to those platform controls until deleted by you.
  • CSV export files are created only when requested and are written to a temporary location on your device for sharing/export.

Your Choices

You can:

  • grant or deny HealthKit or Health Connect permissions
  • enable or disable daily reminders
  • delete entries in the app
  • manage or delete Health data in Apple Health or Health Connect
  • choose whether to export or share your data
  • restore or decline premium purchases
